Version 1.05 alpha

Version 1.05 Alpha of static has the following features:

Both serial and MPI-compatible parallel computers can use the same source code.
In addition to the total energy, the pressure and electronic structure of the system may be calculated.
The ability to choose between parametrization forms for the overlap matrix elements, based on properties of the parameter file. See the discussion in the Usage section.
Simplified input:
- The parametrization-specific parts which appeared in older version input files have been moved into the parameter files themselves.
- Structural input is now easier. A large class of structures has been defined, so that users only need enter the relevant information. Users can, of course, describe an arbitrary lattice.
- Predefined lattice strains for use in determining elastic constants are now available.
The official release of the source code is available on a file by file basis, or you may download a gzipped tar file containing all of the source.
An updated version of the source code may be available. Note that this is definitely use at your own risk.
